A Torch is a piece of Furniture that produces light. They can be carried by the player when equipped and can also be placed on most solid surfaces (but not on the bottom of a block). Torches can also be dropped, to provide a mobile light source as it falls. Torches are doused by running water, although this does not seem to affect a torch when used as equipment. A torch can be right-clicked for retrieval, and a torch will drop from its position if there is no connecting block to support it. If a torch has blocks on two or more sides, it will attach to another block when the one it is attached to is removed. Torches will prefer to attach to blocks beneath them, then to their left, then to their right.
